Instructor: Suzette Harris
Instructor Bio: Suzette Harris has been quilting since 1989. She has been sewing since a child making clothes for baby dolls and Barbie then moving into garment sewing for herself and making home decoration items. She was introduced to Eleanor Burns Quilt in a Day log cabin by an Aunt and cousin and one day while passing time in a Hancock Fabrics she sought out the quilt book she had been shown and selected fabrics to make her first quilt. As they say, the rest is history! She makes a lot of strip based quilts. Since that time, Suzette has branched out to many styles of quilting and describes her style as eclectic. She likes what she likes. Suzette likes to use simple patterns and shapes to teach others to quilt. She likes to show how to make simple quilts look more complex through the use of color and pattern in the fabrics used. She is encouraging to her students and pushes them to try new things to grow their skills. Plan to have fun in her classes and learn a variety of techniques.
